Welcome to Malton Vehicle Hire Services. These Terms of Service (Terms) govern your use of our website carhiremalton.co.uk and our vehicle rental services. By using our services you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Malton Lease

All Malton vehicle rentals are subject to a detailed Rental Agreement provided at booking confirmation or at vehicle collection. This agreement sets out the applicable terms, conditions, insurance information, fees, and your responsibilities for that rental. If there is any conflict between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail for the relevant rental.

2. Malton Eligibility

To rent a vehicle from Malton, you must:

Be at least 21 years old (age limits may vary by vehicle type, with additional charges for drivers under 25). Hold a valid, full driving licence appropriate to the vehicle category that has been held for the minimum period stated in the Rental Agreement. Provide valid photo identification and proof of address and payment as required by Malton.

3. Booking and Billing

Bookings can be made through our website, by phone, or in person at our Malton location. A booking deposit may be required to secure your reservation. 4. Malton Vehicle Collection and Return

You must inspect the vehicle carefully when collecting it from Malton and report any existing damage to Malton staff immediately. A vehicle condition report will be prepared and signed by you and a Malton representative. Return the vehicle in the same condition as when collected, subject to normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be recorded and charged to the hirer.

5. Insurance and Liability for Malton

Basic third-party insurance is included with all Malton rentals. Full coverage details and excess amounts are set out in the Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be available to lower your out-of-pocket liability. We recommend reviewing these carefully. You are responsible for damage or loss up to the excess amount shown in the Rental Agreement.

6. Cancellation and Amendments

Malton's cancellation and amendment policies vary by booking type and notice period. Consult your booking confirmation or rental agreement for the full terms. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur charges.

7. Unauthorized Uses

You must not use the Malton vehicle for:

Any illegal purpose or activity involving a Malton vehicle. Racing, rallying, off-roading, or other hazardous activities. Transporting hazardous or dangerous materials. Sub-letting Malton vehicles to third parties or allowing unauthorized drivers. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Purposes for which a Malton vehicle is not designed...

Violating these restrictions may result in immediate termination of the Malton rental and additional charges.

8. Malton Liability Limits

Subject to limits permitted by English and Welsh law, Malton will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data or business arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount paid to Malton by you in the twelve months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Malton Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malton. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malton.

10. Changes to Malton Terms

Malton may modify these Terms at any time. Changes become effective immediately upon posting on Malton’s website. Your continued use of Malton services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
